Getting started

Go from zero to a paired IDE in under a minute.

1

Install the extension

Install Remoot: Bridge for Copilot & Cursor from the marketplace. It works with both VS Code and Cursor. On first launch it generates a short-lived pairing token and shows a QR code.

2

Grab the pairing token

Open the extension’s panel. Next to the QR code you’ll see an 8-character token. That’s what we need.

3

Pair from the browser

Sign in to Remoot (magic link — no password) and open /app. Paste the token and hit Connect. In the IDE, approve the device. The badge in the top bar turns green.
4

Work from the web

  • Composer — run ask, agent, or plan prompts.
  • Sessions — resume existing cursor-agent sessions.
  • Files — watch recent file activity.
  • Terminal — live terminal output.
  • Events — raw event stream for debugging.
5

Going Pro

Unlock priority models and unlimited sessions on the pricing page. Web billing runs through Stripe and is completely separate from any mobile subscription.

Troubleshooting

  • Token not found — tokens expire when the IDE restarts. Regenerate in the extension.
  • IDE offline — the web client reconnects automatically; nothing to do.
  • Already paired — another device holds the token. Pair off from the IDE and try again.
